Pretentiousness; a style hard to detect
Be it from spotting a fake smile to seeing through evil intentions
Ive had a few pretentious people; i could say that they're close to me
But giving attention to them can be mind-exhausting
Can be very upseting when you see them verbally abuse you; or take you for granted
I feel very offended ... i just kept quiet
Sometimes i do have my episodes and stand my ground ... bad move ... i'll be one feeling terrible after all that
You may or may not realise it, but keeping quiet all these time and assume that im aware is being pretentious
Taking me for granted and treating me hostily and suddenly nice the next day is being ostentatious
Youre nice when you need me and so rude when you dont is being pretentious
Guess most of them are my typical overlords ... i cant fight it cos im in this alone
They wont listen to me cos my words are worthless i think

The stairs that we had to climb ... my god seems never ending
Same goes with Bukit timah; the elevation turning my knee joints to jelly as i got higher
Well in Japan they have a killer underground train station
Stairs, elevators and more stairs
